THE COLLECT for Sunday 29th March - Lent 5
Most merciful God,
who by the death and resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ
delivered and saved the world:
grant that by faith in him who suffered on the cross
we may triumph in the power of his victory;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen

THE READINGS
Old Testament: Jer. 31:31-34
Gospel: John 12:20-33

POST COMMUNION PRAYER
Lord Jesus Christ,
you have taught us
that what we do for the least of our brothers and
sisters
we do also for you:
give us the will to be the servant of others
as you were the servant of all,
and gave up your life and died for us,
but are alive and reign, now and for ever.
Amen

To think about this week:
It is not what we possess but what we are that makes us great. Anon

and on this day in 1912:

The last entry in the diary of Antarctic explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott:

“It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write any more.'

Please pray for:

Peace in the world. Asking God's blessing on all people who suffer as a result of violence the world over, and especially for the people of Northern Ireland.

David and Hannah Cleugh who will be joining the Team as Curates this summer.

All those confirmed today. Among them Becky Peet from Stadhampton.

All who live in Copson Lane, Shillingford.

The sick in body, mind or spirit, among them Stephen Selwood, Jenny Cross, Molly Bailey, Catherine Allen and Joan Goodchild.

The repose of the souls of all those who have died. May they rest in peace and rise in glory.
